📢 The PPGCI/UFC invites the academic community to the lecture “Ethical Dilemmas in the Digital Age”, with Professor Arthur Coelho Bezerra (PPGCI/IBICT).

The event will take place on September 29, 2025, at 3:30 PM, in the Raquel de Queiroz Auditorium, and will be moderated by Professor Jonathas Luiz Carvalho Silva.

📚 At the end of the lecture, there will be a launch of the speaker’s new book.

He holds a PhD in Human Sciences (UFRJ), with a postdoctoral degree from the same institution, a Master’s in Sociology (Iuperj), and a Bachelor’s in Cultural Production (UFF). He is a CNPq Productivity Fellow and a Scientist of Our State (Faperj). He serves as president of the International Center for Information Ethics (ICIE) and coordinates the research group Escritos – Critical Studies on Information, Technology, and Social Organization. He was a visiting researcher at Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès (France) and at the University of Virginia (USA). He coordinates working groups at Enancib and Ulepicc-BR. Author of Miséria da informação: dilemas éticos da era digital (2024), finalist of the Academic Jabuti Prize (2025), also published in Spanish.
