Master’s students Paula Kaliane Henrique Silva and Giovanna Maria de Souza Almeida, enrolled in the Graduate Program in Information Science at the Federal University of Ceará (PPGCI/UFC), are currently undertaking an academic mobility program at the University of Ferrara (UNIFE), Italy.
This initiative is part of the international cooperation agreement established between UFC and UNIFE, contributing to the strengthening of PPGCI’s internationalization efforts and expanding scientific collaboration between Brazilian and Italian institutions.
During their mobility period, the students are engaged in academic and research activities, promoting the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the field of Information Science.
At the same institution, Professor Maria Giovanna Guedes Farias, a permanent faculty member of PPGCI/UFC, is carrying out a postdoctoral fellowship, further strengthening institutional relations and expanding collaborative research networks developed through this partnership.
This initiative reinforces PPGCI/UFC’s commitment to internationalization, the qualified training of researchers, and the development of collaborative networks aimed at advancing scientific research and knowledge production on an international scale.

The meeting was attended by Professor Marco Bresadola, Director of the Department of Humanities at the University of Ferrara; Professor Andrea Rubin, a faculty researcher in Sociology within the same department and responsible for inviting the students to participate in the academic mobility program; and Professor Maria Giovanna Guedes Farias. The meeting marked an important moment of reception and alignment regarding the academic and research activities developed within the framework of the cooperation between UFC and UNIFE.
