This week, the PPGCI will hold the Official Opening of the Academic Semester 2025.1. On this occasion, Professor Fábio Castro Gouveia will deliver a lecture titled “Ethical Challenges of Research in the Age of AI and Social Networks: Mediatization, Disinformation, and the Use of LLMs.”
Professor Fábio Gouveia is a Public Health Technologist at Fiocruz, currently assigned to the executive commissioned position of Head of the Institutional Monitoring Division at IBICT. He is a permanent faculty member of PPGCI-IBICT/Eco-UFRJ. His research in Information Science focuses on Informetrics, Digital Methods, STS, Data Science, AI, and Blockchain Technology. In the field of Science Communication, he dedicates himself to studies on the internet and social media.
