Line 1 – Information, organization, communication and technology
Syllabus: Its main focus is to empower and qualify students based on information related to the observation and analysis of the internal and external environment of organizations, regarding the impacts resulting from the adoption of electronic and digital information and communication technologies in the field of information and knowledge representation. In this way, it will seek to develop studies related to phenomena related to the cognitive representation of information and knowledge, considering theoretical, epistemological, and methodological constructs, as well as the processes of production, treatment, organization, dissemination, storage, accessibility, usability, interoperability, retrieval, and access to information in analog and digital environments.

Line 2 – Information, society and culture
Syllabus: Theoretical and methodological studies in Information Science regarding the challenges arising from contemporary society use the informational phenomenon as an instrument for social, cultural, educational, organizational, economic, and political development. In this sense, the Research Line aims to promote theoretical, methodological, historical, epistemological, and critical studies focused on the production, dissemination, management, mediation, circulation, communication, appropriation, and uses of information within the context of interactive spaces of information and knowledge.
