Published at: January 27, 2026 Category: NewsThe Graduate Program in Information Science (PPGCI/UFC) begins a new management cycle as of January 11, 2026, under the coordination of Professor Jonathas Luiz Carvalho Silva, PhD, with Professor Maria Áurea Montenegro Albuquerque Guerra, PhD, serving as Vice Coordinator.
The new coordination extends its congratulations to the previous administration, highlighting the excellence of the systematic and fruitful work that led to the elevation of PPGCI’s evaluation to score 4, an important milestone for the Program. As a priority, the new administration reaffirms its commitment to continuing the growth achieved in recent years, strengthening the academic, administrative, and institutional actions already consolidated.
This new phase is guided by the key concept of cooperation, understood as the integration of efforts among the coordination, administrative staff, faculty, students, and alumni—an essential condition for the continued development and strengthening of PPGCI/UFC.
