Between May 26 and 29, the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) will host the 8th International Seminar on Information for Health (VIII SINFORGEDS), bringing together researchers, professionals, and students interested in the intersections between information, technology, health, and society.
The event will promote discussions and reflections on the impacts of information and technologies in healthcare contexts, addressing contemporary challenges, research perspectives, and professional experiences in the field. SINFORGEDS serves as an important forum for knowledge exchange, the strengthening of collaborative networks, and the dissemination of research focused on the production, management, and use of health information.
The 8th edition of SINFORGEDS is organized by the Federal University of Ceará through the Information Representation Research Group (GPRI/UFC), certified by CNPq, and the Graduate Program in Information Science of the Department of Information Sciences (PPGCI/UFC). The event is also supported by the UFC Center for Humanities, the Research Group on Information Literacy and Mediation in Information Environments (CMAI), the Research Group on Information and Knowledge Management in Educational Environments (GICAE), the UFC University Library System, the Center for Technologies and Distance Education in Health (NUTEDS) of the UFC School of Medicine, and the Ceará Librarians Association (ABC-CE).
